Dr Valliappan outstanding career was preceded by an excellent academic record. Dr Valliappan An MBBS from Medical College, Coimbatore, His repertoire of remarkable achievements includes leading the team that performed the Heart Transplant in Tamil Nadu. Dr Valliappan is also the first on Tamil Nadu to perform Carotid Stenting and went on to successfully complete over 400 cases. Apart from training hundreds of Cardiologists from all over the country in Interventional Cardiology, Dr Valliappan also conducted national and international workshops on Coronary Angioplasty and Mitral Valvuloplasty. Dr Valliappan also conducted specialized courses in India. This apart, Dr Valliappan published articles in several journals and presented papers. Dr Valliappan was also bestowed with honor of delivering lectures in the prestigious University & Hospital.
